This organization represents a diverse group of professionals involved in the research, management, and delivery of road safety programmes in Canada.



The aim of this association is to to organize into one body specialists in the field of technical accident investigation and reconstruction; to support and maintain a high standard of ethics, integrity and credibility in the field of technical accident investigation and reconstruction; to research and communicate matters of mutual interest; to foster a spirit of camaraderie among the Association members; and to promote traffic safety across Canada.

The resources, which include employer policies and guidance documents on road safety at work, research reports on risk factors for work-related crashes, as well as statistics about worker injuries and fatalities on roads.



A independent nonprofit body whose only goal is to reduce mortality and morbidity brought about by misuse of alcohol and drugs by operators of vehicles in all modes of transportation.



The NTSB is an independent agency charged with determining the probable cause of transportation accidents and promoting transportation safety.



The Network of Employers for Traffic Safety is an employer-led public/private partnership dedicated to improving the safety and health of employees, their families, and members of the communities in which they live and work by preventing traffic crashes that occur both on and off the job.



The Nova Scotia Trucking Safety Association facilitates the delivery of quality, effective training programs to ensure a safe working environment and a skilled work force in the trucking industry in Nova Scotia in compliance with Industry and Government Regulations.



The Occupational Road Safety Alliance (ORSA) brings together employers, trade unions, local authorities, police forces, safety organisations and professional and trade associations. It aims to raise awareness of work related road safety and to encourage businesses to manage at-work road risk more effectively.



Operation Lifesaver is a national public education program sponsored by the Railway Association of Canada and Transport Canada and works in co-operation with the Canada Safety Council, provincial safety councils/leagues, railway companies, unions, police, public and community groups. The goal is to reduce the needless loss of life, injuries and damages caused by highway/railway crossing collisions and train/pedestrian incidents.

The Road Safety Educators' Association is a federally incorporated non-profit professional association designed for the individual road safety educator. Just as provincial driving school associations ensure professional standards for the school owners, RSEA ensures professional standards for the individual educator. RSEA is open to everyone who is involved in educating the public about the safe use of our roads.



The mission of the Traffic Injury Research Foundation (TIRF) is to reduce traffic related deaths and injuries. It achieves this mission by designing, promoting and implementing effective programs and policies, based on sound research.



The Transport Dangerous Goods Directorate is the focal point for the national program to promote public safety during the transportation of dangerous goods. The TDG Directorate serves as the major source of regulatory development, information and guidance on dangerous goods transport for the public, industry and government employees.

The Vancouver Island Safety Council specializes in traffic safety education for everyone, using many forms of transportation. We have been serving the South Island community for over 30 years, educating thousands of people to be safer pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists and motorcyclists.
